'Concern for a person in the water' at Scots park as emergency services rush to scene

Emergency services have raced to a Scots park following reports of 'concern for a person in the water' this evening.

Police and fire crews scrambled to Alexander Hamilton Memorial Park in Stonehouse, South Lanarkshire, after the alarm was raised at around 4.30pm on Saturday, July 24.

Emergency crews remain in attendance.

The condition of the casualty is not yet known.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police were called around 4.30pm on Saturday, 24 July, 2021 following the report of a concern for person in the water at Alexander Hamilton Memorial Park in Stonehouse.

"Emergency services are currently in attendance. "
