UPDATE: Dyfed-Powys Police confirmed on Monday morning that Gareth Phillips has been found.
A man has been missing for two days after leaving home with "suicidal thoughts" and his family are desperately searching for him.
Gareth Phillips disappeared from Carmarthen on Sunday after staying with his younger sister Hannah.
He left his house keys, his phone and his dog with Hannah and only had enough cash to catch a train.
Gareth, 33, has a history of mental health problems and Hannah has spent the last 48 hours driving around the area looking for him, fearing the worst.
Gareth lives in Milford Haven, in Pembrokeshire where he keeps a boat, but there has been no sign of him and concerns are now growing for his safety.
On Tuesday, Hannah said: "I'm just scared for his life based on the things he said," adding that her brother had tried to section himself in the past.
"He disappeared from mine in Carmarthen on Sunday with suicidal thoughts and hasn't come back." She thinks Gareth might have had enough cash to catch a train back to Milford or may be staying with a friend in Carmarthen."
Dyfed Powys Police has launched an appeal to locate Gareth. A spokesman for the force said: "Please help us find 33-year-old Gareth Phillips, from Milford Haven. He is described as 5'8 tall, with a shaved head, and may be wearing a basketball top and a green jacket.
"He also has connections in Carmarthen."
