
Composer Koichi Sugiyama, who created music for the popular role-playing game series "Dragon Quest," died on Sept. 30, it has been learned. He was 90 years old.
Sugiyama is also known for composing songs in a genre of 1960s Japanese pop music known as "group sounds."
He died of septic shock.
