Similar to the series, the gameplay of this mode revolves around hiders escaping the seekers while the seekers take down hiders before the timer expires. While the objectives are simple, you need to learn many tips and strategies to excel in both roles. Here is a comprehensive guide to playing the Hide & Seek Game mode and achieving victory.
When does the Hide & Seek Game Mode appear in Ink Game?
The Hide & Seek Game Mode usually appears in the third or fourth round of the Ink Game. During my gameplay session, it appeared in the third round right after the Dalgona round. Once the round starts, each of the characters in the room will go near the ball machine and select a random candy. If it is a blue-colored ball, you will be hiding, whereas if you get the red one, you will roleplay as the seekers.
How to win as a Hider in Ink Game
If you are playing as the hider, it is straightforward to win the game, as all you have to do is hide carefully. Once the game begins, go in any direction of your choice and then open rooms to go further inside the maze. If a seeker comes near you, use your sprint ability to gather distance to evade them. Also, never hide as a single player and always be in the vicinity of other hiders. Why? If a seeker or a group of seekers catch comes near you, they will always gang up on a single hider rather than going behind everyone; if you are lucky, you can reposition without losing even a single.
As a hider, you will also have access to the Dodge ability. This is a unique timing-based skill that should be used right before a seeker uses his knife to cut you down. Initially, you may struggle to understand it, but with time and practice, you will become more familiar with it. That's it. Keep opening doors and delve deep into the maze's interiors to conceal yourself.
How to win as a Seeker in Ink Game
Firstly, you must understand that winning as a seeker is really challenging, as you have to work together even to obtain a single elimination. Once a round starts, interact with the other seekers and tell them to move together in a team. If you are able to do that, you can easily gang up or surround a single seeker and eliminate them with three to four slices using your knife. If you don't know, knives are the unique abilities that a seeker can use to take down the hiders.
Suppose you are unable to do that; you will have a rough time chasing a single hider, and it is nearly impossible to take them down within the next 3:40 seconds.
