Complete Evomon Beginner’s Guide

Here’s everything you need to do in Evomon as a complete beginner:

  • For a quick and easy start, choose Bubble as your starter Evomon. The Water-type Evomon is strong against the Rock and Grass-type Evomons that are common on the first two islands.
  • Get a Flying Mount as soon as you can for better mobility on and across the islands. A ground Mount is also good, but a Flying Mount offers much better value.
  • Focus on one Evomon at the start. Remove all other Evomons from your team to make sure the single Evomon gets all the EXP.
  • Find and open as many Chests as you can early for Food, Potions, EXP Items, and Evolution Stones.
  • Catch Shiny and Prismatic Evomons. Learn more about these in the Mutations section.
  • Take advantage of the Weather Events to speed up resource farming and progression.
  • Unlock Ultimate Abilities, stronger Skills, and evolve your Evomons to move towards mid-game content.

From choosing the right starter Evomon to understanding the various mechanics, this complete Evomon beginner’s guide will help you get the perfect start for your Evomon hunting and collecting venture. If you’ve already started the game and are feeling stuck at Petal Ponds, we have some handy tips that you can follow to get back on track. So, let’s dive right in.

What is the Best Starter Evomon in Evomon

The first thing you have to do when you start playing Evomon is choose a starter Evomon between Bubble, Blazpup, and Leafbun. I suggest selecting Bubble to keep things nice and easy. That said, below is a detailed breakdown of all three options, so you can make a more informed choice:

Bubble
(Best for speedrunning early-game)
If you want to go the easy route, Bubble is the best starter Evomon. Bubble is a Water-type Evomon, which gives it an elemental advantage against the Evomons and Bosses of the Verdant Valley and Lava Crag (2 of the first 3 worlds you’ll explore). This makes early-game progression a lot quicker and easier.
Blazpup
(Best early-damage dealer)
Blazpup deals the highest damage with basic and special skills out of all three starter Evomons. However, this Evomon almost always has an elemental disadvantage on the starter islands and only becomes a viable choice when you reach mid-game content. Unless you’re looking for a challenge or want to prepare yourself for mid to late-game content right from the start, I suggest you don’t choose this starter.
Leafbun
(Best for survivability)
If you’re a defensive player and don’t mind the slow progress, Leafbun should work just fine for you. This Evomon has healing skills and has a high base health (higher than both the other starter Evomons). Since this is a Grass-type Evomon, you will need those healing skills and extra health because of the elemental disadvantage against Water-type Evomons that swarm the starter islands.

Whichever starter Evomon you choose, make sure you focus on that one completely. Don’t fill up your slots with every Evomon you catch. Let your starter Evomon get all the EXP so it can level up quickly and get stronger. Evolve it as soon as you get the required materials.

How to Get Mounts in Evomon

Ground and Flying-type Evomons can be used as mounts in Roblox Evomon. You can get mount Evomons by evolving the base forms of some Evomons, defeating the Evomons in battle, or hatching eggs.

Flying-type Evomons will become your flying mounts, allowing you to fly all-over the Evomon World. You can fly around on an island for quick travel and even travel to other islands quickly without using the Teleport Portals.

Sundercrene is the easiest Flying Mount you can get early on. Go to Flying Territory and defeat the King of Flying Boss to get it as a Flying Mount.

Ground-type Evomons are easier to get and will buff your movement speed. These are useful for moving quickly on land. Flying mounts offer better value, but as a beginner, obtaining a Ground mount is easier, and the movement speed buff is good.

Blazpup is a good starter Ground Evomon that you’ll have from the very start if you choose it as your starter.

When you open the Evomon Index and click on any Evomon, you’ll see a mini horse icon next to the Evomon-Type icon. If that mini-horse icon is red, that means this Evomon can not be used as a Mount. But, if the icon is green, that Evomon can be used as a mount.

What Are All The Mutations in Evomon

As of the Evomon Release meta, there are two mutations in Evomon that can occur on an Evomon: Shiny and Prismatic.

When you fight an Evomon and try to catch it afterward, you can see the chances of getting a Shiny or a Prismatic version in the bottom left corner of your screen. Similarly, when hatching an egg, there’s a chance that the Evomon could be a Shiny or a Prismatic variant.

The Shiny mutation is rarer and more valuable because it buffs the stats of the Evomon (buffs are completely random) and also adds a unique cosmetic to it. On the other hand, the Prismatic mutation is purely cosmetic and far more common to get.

What Are All The Weather Events in Evomon

Evomon has a dynamic weather system. Every 15 minutes, the weather/climate will change across the Evomon world. Certain weather events have specific effects that you should know about and plan your Evomon team accordingly. The table below lists all the weather events in Evomon:

Weather Event Effects
Sunny The most common weather in Evomon. Sunny weather has no effect.
Rain Rain starts falling during this weather event. While it is raining, all Water-type Evomons on your team gain +1 SPE each turn.
Volcanic Eruption Inflicts 1 stack of Burn to each non-Fire-type Evomon each turn.
Permanent weather on Lava Crag
Sandstorm Deals damage to all non-Rock and non-Earth-type Evomons.
Thunderstorm Inflicts Paralysis on non-Electric-type Evomons.

Note: This section a work-in-progress. As we discover more weather events/climates, we’ll add the information accordingly.

How to Unlock Evomon Skills & Ultimate Abilities

To unlock the Ultimate Ability and more powerful Skills for your Evomon, you need to level up the Evomon. The Ultimate Ability of every Evomon unlocks when it reaches Level 30. However, that’s not the final ability/skill. You can ascend your profile to increase the level cap of each Evomon to unlock even more skills.

To level up your Evomon, you need to earn Evomon EXP. Use the Evomon in battles and feed them the various EXP items you get as a reward to quickly level up.

Once you reach Level 30 and unlock the Ultimate Ability, you can unlock more skills by going to the Main City and talking to the Daisy NPC.

How to Get Summon Tickets in Evomon

Summon Tickets are needed to summon the boss Evomons on Summon Ruins I, II, and III. Here are all the ways you can get Summon Tickets in Evomon:

  • Fight Evomons: Every Evomon has a small chance of dropping Summon Tickets.
  • Complete Quests: Completing the Daily and World quests will help you earn points and unlock the weekly rewards that include Coins, EXP Items, and Summon Tickets.
  • Defeat Island Bosses: All island bosses have a small chance of dropping Summon Tickets when defeated.
  • First-clear NPC Duels: The various NPCs on the different islands can also drop Summon Tickets, but only during the first fight. If you defeat them during the first battle, you won’t get the rewards.

Farm as many Summon Tickets as you can on the first 3 islands and then go to Summon Ruins I. There, defeat all the bosses at least once to farm enough resources to prepare yourself for the early to mid-game transition.

Evomon Beginner Tips and Tricks

  • Focus on one Evomon at the start. Only keep one or two Evomons on your team to feed all the EXP to those Evomons. This will help you level them up faster, which will allow you to unlock their Ultimate and eventually Evolve them.
  • Complete Lilian’s quests and the Daily quests. These are easy tasks that you will be doing anyway. Talk to Lilian to start these quests and get some extra rewards, including Evomon EXP, EXP Items (Food), and player EXP.
  • First-clear NPC Duels. NPC Duels are a great way to get Evomon Evolve items. However, make sure you clear them on your first go, or you won’t get the rewards. Once you’ve fought them, you’ll only get Money as a reward.
  • Open Chests. You’ll find free and challenger chests on all islands in the Evomon World. Find and open these Chests to get Money, EXP Items, Evolution Items, and a lot more that will help with progression.

That's all for our Evomon beginner’s guide. Hopefully, this will help you get a good start to your adventure in Evomon. While you’re here, don’t forget to redeem the latest Evomon Codes or you’ll miss out on the free Coins, EXP Fruits, and more.
