Competitive eater polishes off entire McDonald's Christmas menu in less than 30 minutes

A professional competitive eater has described his latest challenge to ChronicleLive as 'easy', after munching his way through McDonald's entire Christmas menu - in just one sitting.

Kyle Gibson, 23, from Houghton-le-Spring, has taken part in big Man vs Food-style challenges before, including eating items from Lidl's bakery section, and even taking on the full menu from fast food outlets Five Guys and KFC.

His latest challenge, the McDonald's Christmas menu, consisted of 9,600 calories, which he polished off in 24 minutes.

The menu included:

  • 3 festive crispy chicken stack burgers
  • 3 festive stacks (beef ones)
  • 2 cheese shareboxes
  • 8 festive pies
  • 2 Celebrations McFlurries

After finishing the challenge, Kyle told ChronicleLive: "That was an easy one."

"I had just worked out before doing the McDonald's Christmas menu and I was quite hungry," said Kyle. "I was able to finish it all quite easily.

"I train in the gym seven days a week. I do a lot of boxing, weightlifting and cardio.

"I usually eat quite healthily and have low calorie food. When I do big challenges, that is my big meal of the day. I make sure I keep myself healthy during the other days of the week."

Kyle is no stranger to eating contests, and has been posting his food challenges to his Facebook page and YouTube channel for several years now.

He also supports charities, recently donating to Mission Christmas at B&M Stores.

Speaking about his latest donation, £1,000 worth of toys and selection boxes, Kyle said: "I genuinely believe that no child should go without a present on Christmas."
