Comparisons between Sergio Aguero and Leeds United youngster don't sit well with ex-Whites man

Danny Mills believes Victor Orta's comparisons between Archie Gray and Sergio Aguero will throw the Leeds United youngster into the spotlight "unnecessarily."

Orta has spoken with Spanish media outlet La Media Inglesa - with the interview translated by All Stats Aren’t We - likening the 15-year-old to the first time he saw Aguero.

Gray is the son of former Leeds United striker Andy, the grandson of ex-defender Frank and the great-nephew of the club's legendary winger Eddie.

Archie has already made history this season as he became the youngest-ever player to register an assist in the EFL Trophy in the Whites U21's 4-1 defeat against Tranmere Rovers.

However, Mills believes that the Whites director of football should take care when making comparisons with "absolute legends."

“It’s too much," Mills told Football Insider. “I know of him, I know he’s a good player but he’s 15-years-old. A lot can happen with growing, the way you can develop at that stage.

“He’s a big lad at 15, so he’ll have a slight advantage over some. He’s got a lot of ability but that’s a slight advantage.

“That will catch up when he goes through the ages, suddenly that changes.

“Be very careful about picking kids out at 15, 16 and comparing them to absolute legends that have been there, seen it and done it.

“It throws him into the spotlight unnecessarily.”
