Digital mementos of celebrity encounters have become as prized as forearm scribbles, according to a recent Twitter study conducted by Crowd DNA. Nearly 75% of Twitter users say a retweet by their favourite artist is as desirable as receiving a scrawl on a piece of paper. With this recent research in mind, and in the name of nostalgia, we’d like to see your collection of autographs, and the stories behind them.
Have you been lucky enough to get your favourite musician’s signature at a gig or at a chance meeting? Whether it’s an unintelligible doodle written in a hurry, or a more thought out dedication taking pride of place on your shelf , share your autographs with us, and tell us a little bit about how you acquired them.
You can share your autograph pictures and the stories behind them by clicking on the ‘Contribute’ button on this article. You can also use the Guardian app and search for ‘GuardianWitness assignments’.
