Afternoon cocktails for Kilmarnock care home residents

Residents of a Kilmarnock care home enjoyed an afternoon filled with music, laughter – and some expert cocktails.

Company Social and Cocktail took their community cocktails initiative to Springhill Care Home, where residents were able to enjoy some classic drinks made by expert bartenders.

Social and Cocktail, who offer drinks packages for hen parties, birthdays and other special events, donate a full cocktail event every month to care homes or charitable venues across Scotland.

The event includes bartenders, glassware, themed decorations, cocktail master classes and demonstrations as well as a batch of delicious alcoholic beverages.

The bartenders are fully trained in the art of cocktail making and have at least five years of bar experience.

Community cocktails was devised to allow elderly and disadvantaged people a chance to experience cocktail culture.

The idea started in 2014, with the first community cocktails being held at Erskine Care Home in Bishopton, Renfrewshire.
