Company and man charged over fatal building wall collapse that left two workers dead

A man and a company have been charged over a collapsed wall that left two workers dead.

James Henderson, 48, and Peter Walker, 53, when a wall that was being worked on at Myrehead Farm, Haining Road, Falkirk, collapsed on them on May 6, 2020.

Cops have now brought criminal charges to a 60-year-old man and a company in connection with their deaths.

A massive police and Health and Safety Executive investigation was launched in the wake of the tragedy.

The deaths of the popular pair sparked an outpouring of grief from shocked friends and family.

Heartbroken daughters of dad-of-three Peter took to social media to post pictures of their dad, from Blackburn, West Lothian.

Detective Inspector Rob Andrews, of Forth Valley CID, said: “Following a joint investigation by Police Scotland and the Health and Safety Executive, a 60-year-old man and a company have been charged in connection with these deaths.

“Our thoughts remain with the families of the men who died and we continue to work to find answers for them.

"A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
