Commuters warned of temporary closures on Rathbeale Road in Swords as part of 12 month upgrade project

Residents have been warned of temporary road closures in north Dublin as part of a 12 month upgrade project.

Commuters have been advised by Fingal County Council about traffic diversions along Rathbeale Road in Swords due to the Rathbeale Road Upgrade Scheme.

The project is a major infrastructural development and will require a number temporary road closures and traffic diversions (including one-way stop/go systems) at various times.

An alternative route for traffic via a temporary link road to Castleview in both directions is planned.

Local access for residents and businesses within the closure area will be maintained at all times.

Pedestrians will use the footpaths provided along the vehicle diversion route. Footpaths within the Rathbeale Road Closure area will be closed.

Local  have been urged to keep an eye out on any announcements and to plan their travel accordingly.

Each proposed temporary road closure will be advertised in both local and national press, as well as online through council social media accounts.
