Commuters warned as Lansdowne Road DART station to close temporarily on Monday evening

DART users have been warned as the Lansdowne Road station will be temporarily closed on Monday evening.

The closure comes as part of a trial operational exercise ahead of the Aviva Stadium’s hosting of four games during UEFA EURO 2020 next summer

Passengers attending the Republic of Ireland vs Denmark UEFA EURO 2020 Qualifying match have been advised to disembark at either Grand Canal Dock DART Station or Sandymount DART Station between 5.20 pm and 11pm.

There will be additional directional signage in place for those going to the Aviva Stadium as well as match stewards to assist and guide supporters along the walking routes from both Grand Canal Dock and Sandymount DART Stations.

The purpose of the exercise is to examine logistics, mobility, safety, security, and stadium access ahead of next June’s matches.

Match goers have been advised to:

  1. Use the official spectator maps to select the most appropriate route to take
  2. Arrive at the stadium early, turnstiles open at 18:15
  3. Follow Iarnród Éireann, FAIreland, Aviva Stadium, An Garda Síochána, and Dublin City Council social media channels
  4. On match day follow the advice from Gardaí, stewards, volunteers and the directional signage
