Commuters in Dublin were lucky to escape unscathed today as a highly dangerous situation emerged on the motorway.
As drivers began to flock home after a long day, the last thing they would have expected to see was a skip in the middle of the M50.
But at around 3pm the skip could be seen just after J4 Ballymun heading northbound.
Gardai took to Twitter to warn commuters of the situation, saying: "There is currently a skip in the middle lanes of the M50 Northbound at J4 Ballymun.
"Emergency services are currently en route. Please approach with extreme care."
The skip was removed shortly after the report.
Considering the abysmal weather throughout the afternoon, it's a miracle there were no injuries.
