There are severe delays on the M62 during rush hour due to a crash closing two lanes.
The crash involving two cars happened on the eastbound carriageway just after junction 19 for Heywood.
Police, ambulance and fire services are in attendance at the scene.
Two of four lanes are currently blocked causing long tailbacks and severe delays.
Traffic alerts are reporting delays of up to an hour and a half with normal traffic conditions not expected until around 7.30pm.
North West Motorway Police have confirmed that officers are attending at the scene.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said that two vehicles were involved in the collision.
The fire service confirmed that no passengers had to be cut from any vehicles.
It is not known whether any of the passengers are injured at this time.
