Community work for Bothwell man convicted of assault

A Bothwell man must do 120 hours of unpaid community work after he was convicted of assault.

Mark Burns, 40, of St Bride’s Way, denied attacking Henry Forbes in nearby Moravia Avenue in October 2017, but he was found guilty after trial at Hamilton Sheriff Court.

The victim was struck repeatedly on the head and body. This caused him to fall and Burns then dragged him along the ground.
