Community service for Motherwell man caught vandalising cars

A man, who was caught vandalising a number of cars in Motherwell, has been told to carry out unpaid work.

Edward Holland scratched lettering on one car parked outside Airbles Tower on August 27.

He then was caught vandalising two other vehicles in Airbles Street on September 20 and 21.

The 51-year-old was cleared of behaving in a threatening manner in Watson Street, Motherwell, on August 28.

Sheriff Allan McKay opted to put Holland, also of Airbles Street, on a one year community payback order with a supervision requirement.

Holland is also due to attend addiction counselling and carry out 200 hours of unpaid work which must be completed within the next six months.
