The condition of Tamika Wever, who was thrown from a maxi-taxi in a horror crash at Edgeworth last weekend, has stablised.
The 24-year-old mother of three, who suffered major head injuries, was in a critical condition for several days following the crash.
A Hunter New England Health spokesperson described her condition as serious but stable on Friday afternoon.
Her fiance Dylan Whitey, who was also in the taxi, was discharged from hospital earlier in the week with a broken femur.

Meanwhile, almost $12,000 has been raised on a GoFundMe page that was set up by friend Angie Smalley following the crash.
Ms Wever's sister Tash Reid thanked those who had donated.
"[This] helps us to help my sister and her family," she said on Facebook.
"This won't make her better but it will help them financially in the hard times to come.
"Every cent counts. Bless you all."
Ten people were taken to hospital following the crash between the Holden Statesman and the maxi-taxi at the intersection of Main Road and Garth Street early last Saturday.
The 17-year-old youth behind the wheel of the Holden had only recently been put on a good behaviour bond for mid-range drink driving and stealing a motor vehicle.
The youth, who faces 15 charges, appeared in Broadmeadow Children's Court on Monday via video link. No pleas have been entered.
Police noticed the Holden leaving a service station on Main Road just after 1am. They did a U-turn and began following it due to its manner of driving.
Moments later the car allegedly ran a red light and collided with a maxi-taxi, which had six people on board.
