Monklands residents are invited to contribute to the next virtual meetings of the area’s community boards.
The local area groups involve community councils, residents’ groups and any interested locals to help shape decisions affecting their area.
Coatbridge’s board meeting takes place on Wednesday, February 24, and Airdrie’s a week later on March 3 – both at 6.30pm on virtual platform Webex.
Glenboig, along with council ward neighbours Gartcosh and Moodiesburn, falls under the Northern Corridor community board, whose meeting is at 6.30pm on Monday, February 22.
Ward councillors and health, police and fire officials are also represented on the groups; with the agenda for this month’s meetings including updates on the Digital NL programme.
Community partnership manager Matt Costello said: “We’ve established our boards to enhance and support community involvement and provide a single approach for local decision making.

“By working with our communities we can impact positively on the day-to-day lives of our residents, and our community boards provide a great opportunity to get involved.
“Despite the challenges posed by Covid we’re still progressing a range of ambitious projects, and are keen for local residents to find out more about our plans and help us shape these to ensure they meet individual needs.”
Anyone interested in attending a virtual meeting is asked to email communitymatters@northlan.gov.uk; issues can also be raised by local community representatives.
Board meetings are streamed live on the council’s YouTube channel, and comments or questions can also be submitted via email during each meeting.
