Committed to Braj region’s development, says Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath

LUCKNOW: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has said that the state government is committed for the development of Braj region, while keeping its spiritual and cultural heritage intact. Yogi was addressing a programme ‘Shri Krishnaotsav-2021’ in Mathura on Janmashtami on Monday.

The CM said Braj region was moving towards development with a new look while maintaining the ancient tradition. He lauded Braj Teerth Vikas Parishad for putting the region on a growth and development trajectory.

Braj Teerth Vikas Parishad was formed by the state government four years ago with the help of public representatives, he said, adding efforts are being made to give a developed form to the region with the presence of revered saints. He said Mathura-Vrindavan was made a municipal corporation in 2017 by the state government. “A good effort has been made in four years for development of this place,” he stressed. This year, before second wave struck, a grand Vaishnava Kumbh was organized in Vrindavan.

Yogi said PM Narendra Modi has given a new direction to the country, in which the buildings forgotten for hundreds of years are coming out in a new form as the centres of faith.

He said the land of Shri Krishna had shown the way to eliminate the visible and invisible enemy by confronting him. “Today the pandemic is an invisible enemy and a battle is being held under PM’s leadership to eliminate it,” he said. Yogi said systematic rehabilitation and development and beautification of holy places are being taken forward in Braj. Milk business is being encouraged for employment.
