Firefighters tackled a blaze at a commercial building in Old Trafford this afternoon.

Crews were called to the property on St Bride Street at around 3pm.

The blaze involved an acetylene gas cylinder, a spokesperson for the fire service said.

The fire has now been extinguished.

Crews were at the scene for just over three hours.

Video footage taken at the scene shows the building engulfed in flames.

A large plume of smoke can be seen coming from the property.

In a statement, a spokesperson from the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: "At 3pm on Friday, December 11, firefighters were called to reports of a fire at a commercial property on St Bride Street in Old Trafford.
