Comment: why do we need a revolving door to recruit from Crossrail to the House of Commons refurbishment?

The National Audit Office is rather concerned about the cost of moving our feather-bedded MPs out of the House of Commons to a temporary chamber while crucial refurb work goes on at the old place.

Seems the coffer-watchers are worried that contractors will fleece the public purse and deliver the thing late and over budget.

We don’t want another shambles like Crossrail, the NAO said.

But what’s this?

Guess we learn from our mistakes…
