(Picture: Twitter)As the EU is set to again restrict all non-essential travel from the US, Britain remains open to fully vaccinated Americans. That is, if they can bear the airport queues, which remain unacceptably long at Heathrow, our largest travel hub. If we want to encourage business and tourism, we need to provide a speedy welcome. E-gate technology appears to be a problem, as well as staff shortages. Open should mean open, not five-hour queues.
