Commanders RB Brian Robinson Jr. shares video from return to practice field just weeks after being shot

Washington Commanders rookie running back Brian Robinson Jr. was fortunate to escape with his life when he was shot multiple times during a robbery attempt on Aug. 28. But astonishingly, Robinson is also working towards a return *this* season.

Thursday served as a major milestone in that recovery effort.

Robinson — who suffered two gunshot wounds to his right leg — was back on the practice field Thursday and shared a video to his Instagram Story, showing him going through agility drills. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Commanders think that Robinson has a realistic chance of returning to game action for Week 5’s matchup with the Titans.

Robinson obviously has a few more weeks and physical rehab left before reaching that point, but it was awesome to see him moving so well just 2.5 weeks after being shot.

NFL fans were understandably loving the progress from the rookie running back.

This was how Twitter reacted

You absolutely love to see that recovery.
