Comic Con hit Rutherglen Town Hall

Hordes of superheroes and other costumed characters descended on Rutherglen at the weekend, as the annual comic con event was held in the town.

Now in its fourth year, the popular festival attracted an eclectic array of costumes including Batman, Darth Vader and the Power Rangers.

Also taking part was Burnside writer John Lees, Rutherglen artist Gary Erskine – who has illustrated the likes of the X-Men, Scottish writer/artist Monty Nero – and Doctor Who artist Neil Slorance.

Around 60 traders sold comics, toys, artwork to enthusiastic collectors, while the cosplay competitions were hosted by Portugal’s Kathy Alves.
