Liverpool supporters are fuming after Cristiano Ronaldo was named in the FIFA Best World XI for 2021 - but there was no place for Mohamed Salah.
Having spent the first part of last year with Juventus, five-time Ballon d'Or winner Ronaldo made his grand return to Manchester United during the summer transfer window and has already scored 14 goals in 21 games for the Premier League giants this season.
Salah has totted-up twice as many goals as the Portuguese superstar in the top-flight alone this term.
However, the coveted FIFA ceremony recognises achievements over a calendar year to incorporate nations who operate with a different schedule to European divisions. With that in mind, Ronaldo - who broke the senior men's international goal record in 2021 - was included alongside four other Premier League players.
Manchester City duo Ruben Dias and Kevin de Bruyne made the cut - as did N'Golo Kante and Euro 2020-winning Italy midfielder Jorginho from Chelsea.
But it was naturally Ronaldo's inclusion that has ruffled feathers at Anfield due to their rivalry.
