Comedy icons Vic and Bob joke with Leeds United fans after special appearance in the city

Comedy legends Vic and Bob gave a subtle nod to Leeds United when they visited our city.

The Shooting Stars duo did two nights at Leeds City Varieties last week.

During An Evening with Vic and Bob the comedy icons discussed how they have remained popular over the last 30 years.

Famous for their BBC programmers and live shows, Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer, were met with packed audiences during their two nights in Leeds.

Vic Reeves, 61, also known as Jim Moir, is originally from Leeds and made a little reference to Leeds United during the shows in the city.

On Twitter he posted a photo from one of the performances captioned ‘Leeds United’.

A lot of the comics fans, particularly those who don’t support Leeds United, made some tongue-in-cheek digs against the Elland Road club.

We think it was all in good humour though.

We are very sure Vic and comedy partner Bob, a big Middlesbrough supporter, will have seen the funny side of things.

We hope to welcome them back in Leeds very soon.
