Comedian reveals bizarre way she uses sweet potatoes to keep cool on GMB

Good Morning Britain sought advice from their guest Judi Love on the best ways to keep cool in the heat and were given a rather bizarre solution.

The 39-year-old stand-up comedian and radio presenter told hosts Adil Ray and Kate Garraway that she used sweet potatoes under her armpits to stop sweat.

Discussing whether it was socially unacceptable to be sweaty on the ITV daytime show, Judi explained that the vegetable helped to "draw out" the sweat.

But viewers were left tickled at the unusual trick as well as her encouraging commuters to wear 'batty riders' and whip out a flannel to wipe away any droplets.

She said: "You put sweet potato underneath your armpit and let that draw out."

Love added: "You do it at home as a little remedy - there are so many natural remedies. It's summer, it's hot today, enjoy the weather. Go out and just feel free.

"Carry little tissues or be like Jamaica, where you carry your little flannel and you tap down yourself."

The guest also introduced a new nickname for hot pants - "batty riders".

Presenter Ray signed off the interview: "There you go people of Britain, you've heard it here first.

"Wear your batty riders and get some sweet potato and shove it under your armpits."

One viewer said: "@1Judilove has me curled up laughing early morning."

Another wrote: "Well Judi Love has just endorsed batty riders and a flannel for work."

A third fan posted: "The woman on GMB talking about batty riders and pum pum shorts has cracked me up this morning! I wonder how many people started googling pum pum shorts..."
