Mo Gilligan reportedly fathered a secret child with a short-term fling in early 2024, according to sources speaking to The Sun.
An insider speaking to the tabloid claims that the ITV Masked Singer star briefly dated a woman called Selina Christoforou, who subsequently gave birth to their child in January of last year.
Although the pair weren’t technically together, it’s been claimed that Gilligan has been semi-present in his son’s life, who the outlet revealed was called Rudy.
It comes as Gilligan gears up to welcome a baby with his heavily pregnant partner of two years, Taia Tulher, 28.
“Mo met Selina after messaging her on social media, and they hung out casually for a few months,” the anonymous source claimed, adding: “She found out she was pregnant in May 2023, and it was quite a shock for them both because they’d been fairly careful.”
“But she wanted to have the baby, despite the fact they weren’t actually a couple.”
"She adores their son, and Mo sees him semi-regularly. Now he’s about to become a dad for a second time, and he’s over the moon.”
The source then went on to claim that Gilligan is now ready to settle down with Taia and is very excited to welcome their first child together.
A representative for Mr Gilligan has been approached by The Standard for comment.
Gilligan, whose full name is Mosiah Bikila Gilligan, is best known as one of Britain’s best stand-up comedians and has also enjoyed a successful television presenting career, like fronting The Masked Singer and The Masked Dancer.
Despite the insider claims, the mother of his alleged secret child has reportedly implied that Gilligan is far from the fatherly figure to Rudy.
"I just finally posted on Instagram about my son's dad, so for your information, if you don't follow my Instagram, I don't blame you. Um, Mo Gilligan is his dad. Very much in quotation marks,” she said.
Gilligan’s current partner, Ms Tulher, announced that she was expecting a baby in March of this year but stopped short of revealing who the father of her baby was.
She wrote at the time: “Today, I carry the love that made me, the love I’ve always known… and the love I’ve only just begun to understand. For a long time, I didn’t know when I would share this. But now feels right. Because today, on Mother’s Day, I get to celebrate my own mother - and the tiny soul who has already made me one, too.”
Sources claimed that Gilligan and Taia have been quietly dating for around two years and live together in London.
