Comedian apologies after Edinburgh family appear on latest episode of game show

Joel Dommett was back on our screens yesterday as he hosted the second episode of ITV's latest game show, In With A Shout.

The episode saw two families face off against each other, and after hearing a member of the Wild family from Edinburgh say "tutti frutti" in a Scottish accent, host Joel had to give it a go for himself.

But soon after an embarrassed Joel apologised to the audience in a hilarious scene.

The Wild family, who just missed out on the finals, consisted of Darcy, Babs and team captain Mikey, who played against eventual finalists Slater family from Rochdale, report the Record.

In With A Shout sees two families face off against each other in a quiz-style game that has a uniquely challenging twist. To win a cash prize of up to £20,000, contestants have to shout answers displayed on TV screens.

The Masked Singer's Joel has recently spoken about his new role as a game show host, describing the gig as a "dream come true".

He told What To Watch: "Growing up I loved Challenge TV and I watched all these old school 1980s and 1990s game shows hosted by Sir Bruce Forsyth and Michael Barrymore, but I never saw myself as a host."

However, some social media users haven't quite taken to the fast-paced quiz show. After this week's episode, Twitter users complained about the format and pacing.

"The fake laughter on #InWithAShout. Just awful!!! Ruined it." one Twitter user wrote. Another added: "Good programme #InWithAShout but my god how slow is it to go to next question."
