Dundee FC has teamed up with diet experts to help improve the health and wellbeing of local families. The club is running eight group sessions to help connect with the local community.

Called ‘Come Dine With Dee’ the programme is running in conjunction with NHS Tayside.

The health authority’s Child Healthy Weight Team has helped create the scheme and is inviting local to take part by filling in an online form.

The sessions will take place after school at the Dundee College Gardyne Campus but there will also be an opportunity to visit Dens Park and meet the players.

A spokesman for the group said: “As Dietitians we work together with partner organisations to connect with communities and improve the health of local families.

“The Child Healthy Weight Team has been working together with Dundee Football Club to create ‘Come Dine with Dee’.

“This exciting programme, for families with children between 6-13 years old, includes physical activity through fun and interactive games, healthy eating information and the unique opportunity for families to meet players and tour the Dundee Football Club stadium, Dens Park.

“The programme consists of 8 group sessions, held after school, at the Dundee College Gardyne Campus.”
