Chelsea were extremely busy in the summer transfer window.
Over £200m was spent as seven new faces arrived to bolster the first-team squad, with Edouard Mendy and Thiago Silva coming in for huge credit for helping to transform the Blues' defence.
However, whilst Frank Lampard's side have kept back-to-back clean sheets against Sevilla and Manchester United, they've also failed to score in both games despite having Timo Werner, Kai Havertz and Christian Pulisic among others at his disposal.
Speaking ahead of his side's Champions League clash against Krasnodar, the Chelsea head coach admits he's still searching for the right balance between defence and attack.
"I think with the last two games we’ve played against high level opponents," Lampard said in his pre-match press conference. "Seville and Man United in their own way offer a lot of threats.
"Going into a CL game with Seville you have to respect what they can do. They just won the Europa League last year, they took Bayern to extra time in the Super Cup and they are a very talented team.
"So I wanted to get both sides of our game right.
"I think we got a lot of our defensive game right on the day. I didn’t like every bit of it because we are still improving because now we are training in real time."
But could the solution to get Chelsea firing in attack again be to dip in the transfer market again?
Well, some supporters have cheekily suggested a return to Stamford Bridge for Eden Hazard who made his first appearance of the season for Real Madrid in their 2-2 draw against Borussia Monchengladbach.
