Come and see Santa and his sleigh in Wishaw this Wednesday

Santa Claus and his sleigh are coming to both Wishaw this Wednesday.

The event is all thanks to Motherwell and Wishaw Rotary Club who have been organising the fun since 2015.

Rotary Club past president Jim Peat said: “I believe there have been similar events in the past but there hadn’t been a Santa’s sleigh for a while so we took it on four years ago.

“It gets a great response from the kids and also the older generation as they remember the sleigh rides years ago.

“Let’s be honest who doesn’t love to see Santa?”

Santa will start his Wishaw journey at the Tesco Express car park in Coltness Road from 5.45pm.

Leaving the car park at 6pm, Santa’s sleigh will head down Coltness Road and North Kilmeny Crescent before stopping at the Newark Drive lock-ups.

At around 6.25pm, Santa will travel down Newark
Drive, Innerleithen Drive, Kilmeny Crescent, Traquair Drive and Stobo Street to stop number two at Greenlaw Avenue.

Following a quick pit-stop at Greenlaw, Santa will go down Coltness Road,Waverley Drive and Dryburgh Road to his final stop at Melrose Crescent, opposite the swing park.

All are approximate timings.
