Colts’ Zach Pascal, Eric Ebron make PFF Team of the Week

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Zach Pascal and tight end Eric Ebron were both monumental in moving the offense in the 30-23 win against the Houston Texans in Week 7.

The two offensive weapons accounted for three of the team’s four touchdowns on the day. That alone deserves recognition, and Pro Football Focus named each of them to their Team of the Week in Week 7.

Pascal enjoyed a career-high in production. He caught six of seven targets for 106 yards and two touchdowns. Here’s what Pro Football Focus had to say:

Pascal only ran 18 routes against the Texans, but he sure did make the most of them. He averaged an NFL-high 5.89 yards per route run against Houston, catching all six of his targets for 106 yards, four first downs and two touchdowns.

Ebron has been slumping lately. It is both due to the run-first game script and because of some self-inflicted drops. Regardless, he showed up in a big way on Sunday, catching four passes for 70 yards and a ridiculous one-handed touchdown grab.

Ebron earned a season-high 91.2 overall grade against the Texans in Week 7. He caught four passes for 70 yards and a touchdown while logging zero drops. His touchdown snag was a beautiful toe-tapping catch in the back of the end that should go down as one of the best catches in his NFL career.

The Colts offense will face a stiff challenge in Week 8 against the Denver Broncos defense, and the former will need both Pascal and Ebron to show up again.
