Andrew Luck’s NFL career came to a shocking end with his early retirement last week, and the Colts are left not only without an elite quarterback, but also a beloved teammate and proven leader.
Colts tight end Eric Ebron shared a hilarious story from an in-game situation where Luck could have reacted negatively, but instead made sure his receiver knew that Luck believed in him.
“So in a game, I think I had dropped this pass and I was pissed off. And he was like ‘Hey, hey, hey. Hey. No, no, no. Wipe that look off your face!
We’re… no! Don’t do that. We are here, next play. I’m coming back to you, we are going to get it done.
Hey. Look at me! Look at me. We’re good. OK? Great.’”
Luck was so nice on the field, he’d even compliment opposing players for landing a solid hit while pounding him into the ground.
