Colts WR Devin Funchess unlikely to practice this week

The Indianapolis Colts wide receiver room is getting thinner, and it doesn’t appear Devin Funchess will be returning to practice this week as he works his way back from a broken collarbone.

Funchess isn’t eligible to return to game action until the Week 11 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars, and it isn’t clear how much practice he must participate in before the coaches deem him ready to play.

Regardless, it is unlikely the 26-year-old will be returning to practice, per head coach Frank Reich.

Funchess has been absent since breaking his collarbone in the fourth quarter of the Week 1 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. He jumped up for a ball and landed hard on his shoulder.

The Colts have been dealing with their share of injuries at the wide receiver position. Along with Funchess, the Colts will be without T.Y. Hilton (calf) and Parris Campbell (hand) for the coming weeks.
