Colts waive QB Brad Kaaya

The Indianapolis Colts waived quarterback Brad Kaaya, the team announced Friday.

After spending the entire 2018 offseason with the Colts, Kaaya was placed on the injured reserve list on Aug. 25 due to a back injury, missing the entirety of the season.

A Miami (FL) product, Kaaya was drafted by the Detroit Lions in the sixth round of the 2017 NFL Draft. He signed with the Colts off the Lions practice squad on Dec. 27, 2017.

Kaaya was set to be a free agent this offseason. Should he clear waivers, he will become an unrestricted free agent.

In the quarterback room now, the Colts have Andrew Luck, Jacoby Brissett and Phillip Walker.
