The Indianapolis Colts made the waiver claim of cornerback Ryan Lewis official while announcing the waiving of cornerback Chris Milton as the corresponding move on Sunday.
Milton has been with the Colts since joining the team as an undrafted free agent in 2016. A product of Georgia Tech, Milton has been a rotational piece on the cornerback depth chart while making his biggest impact as a gunner on special teams.
His work on special teams has been the factor keeping him on the team so long and though he initially made the 53-man roster for the third season in a row, he will now hit the waiver wire as the Colts bring in Lewis.
In 35 career games (one start), Milton has recorded 20 tackles (13 solo) and two passes defended.
