Colts’ updated 2022 draft pick order following trade with Eagles

The Indianapolis Colts made a trade Tuesday just before the deadline for the roster cuts hit, acquiring offensive lineman Matt Pryor and a 2022 seventh-round pick from the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for their 2022 sixth-round pick.

This is the second time the Colts and Eagles have made a trade in 2021. The other one was on a slightly bigger scale, involving quarterback Carson Wentz and a conditional second-round pick in 2022.

Following Tuesday’s trade, here’s an updated look at the draft pick order for the Colts in the 2022 draft:

  • Round 1*
  • Round 3
  • Round 4
  • Round 5
  • Round 6
  • Round 7 (from PHI)

The first-round selection for the Colts has an asterisk because there is a chance that the Eagles wind up with that pick. Given the conditions of the Wentz trade, the second-round pick sent to Philly this offseason turns into a first-rounder if Wentz either plays 75% of the offensive snaps or plays 70% of the offensive snaps AND the Colts make the playoffs.

If those conditions are not met, the Colts keep their first-round pick in 2022.

Because of Tuesday’s trade, the Colts won’t have a sixth-round pick in 2022 but will have a pair of seventh-rounders. These are all subject to change, of course, as the draft is still far away.
