The Indianapolis Colts didn’t address the interior defensive line during the 2019 NFL Draft, but they did sign a pair of undrafted free agents to add some competition.

Fit with the Colts
Hailing from my alma mater at Charleston Southern (Go Bucs), Robinson is a bit short for the defensive tackle position. However, he makes up for that with some impressive numbers shown at his pro day in some of the explosive tests, especially the broad and vertical jumps.
Robinson enters the defensive tackle room that has its starters in Denico Autry and Margus Hunt. With Tyquan Lewis expected to work more at the three-technique along with Jihad Ward and Grover Stewart being the only nose tackle, there isn’t a lot of room available.
However, Robinson does have traits the Colts might like enough to keep him on the practice squad to see if he can develop into the rotation should he fail to make the initial 53-man roster.
Conclusion
Even though the Colts didn’t invest early in the interior defensive line, they do have a relatively crowded room. How much of an impact Robinson can make in terms of grabbing a roster spot remains to be seen, but he does have some explosive traits the Colts could work with if they are impressed enough to keep him on the practice squad.
