Background
Pascal entered the league as an undrafted free agent signing with the Washington Redskins. He was waived before the season started and then spent some time with the Tennessee Titans both on their practice squad and on the active roster.
The Colts signed him during the 2018 offseason after he was waived by the Titans. He played a reserve role but was solid when called upon during the 2018 season. He appeared in 16 games (four starts) recording 27 catches for 268 yards and two touchdowns.
2019 Outlook
With the Colts having a crowded wide receiver room entering training camp, Pascal is likely to be battling for one of the final spots in the room. Depending on how many wide receivers the Colts wind up keeping during initial cuts, Pascal will be fighting for his roster life.
Pascal was solid for the Colts when they asked him to step up. He did most of his damage against the Houston Texans in 2018 having recorded a combined 11 receptions for 124 yards and two touchdowns in the two regular-season matchups.
Bottom Line
The Colts have a good problem on their hands in the fact that they will have several talented wide receivers compete for the limited spots. Whether Pascal will be the one to grab one of those spots remains to be seen, but he’s proven he can be a valuable commodity when called upon.
