Colts trade OL Evan Boehm to Dolphins

The Indianapolis Colts traded center/guard Evan Boehm and an undisclosed 2020 draft pick to the Miami Dolphins in exchange for an undisclosed 2020 draft pick, the team announced Friday.

It was expected that the Colts would make some type of deal before the cuts are made official on Saturday. This follows the trade the Colts made with the New York Jets Wednesday to acquire a sixth-round pick for Nate Hairston.

Boehm was the backup center to Ryan Kelly in 2018, starting in four games. He lost the backup center job in training camp to Josh Andrews during the preseason.

With Boehm now heading to Miami, Andrews becomes the backup center to Kelly. It isn’t clear what type of draft pick the Colts will receive or give up in the deal.

The Colts must make their roster cuts official by Saturday at 4:00 p.m. ET.
