Colts trade DT Hassan Ridgeway to Eagles

The Indianapolis Colts have traded defensive tackle Hassan Ridgeway to the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for the No. 246 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.

General manager Chris Ballard has always been one that has an affinity for picks, even if they come in the final round of the draft. Now, the Colts will have two seventh-round picks to conclude their class.

Ridgeway’s future with the Colts was in doubt following the 2019 season. The former fourth-round pick was buried on the depth chart on the defensive line. He played a total of just 65 defensive snaps for the Colts during the 2018 season.

In 34 career games with the Colts since being drafted in 2016, Ridgeway recorded 10 quarterback hits, 6.0 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks.

In exchange, the Colts add another seventh-round pick to cap off their draft with 10 selections.
