Taking precaution, the Colts held out the veteran tight end for the majority of last week’s practices. However, the 30-year-old has returned to practice on Wednesday as the Colts resume their work at West 56th Street.

Doyle is a big part of the offense and will continue to be a safety valve for veteran quarterback Philip Rivers. Given the limited offseason and limited work with a new quarterback, it won’t be a surprise if Doyle and Rivers connect quickly.

With Doyle returning to practice, the Colts now have their full tight end room on the field together assuming Trey Burton doesn’t get a rest day.
