Colts’ T.Y. Hilton was among most consistent fantasy WRs in 2018

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton had two completely different halves to the 2018 season but wound up turning in one of his best campaigns since entering the league.

Battling serious injuries throughout the first half while also dealing with an offense yet to open things up, Hilton was looking like a semi-bad pick in fantasy football. However, a strong second half helped him become one of the most consistent players at the position in 2018.

T-7. T.Y. Hilton, Indianapolis Colts (57.1 percent): Hilton had a semi-bounce back season with Andrew Luck back under center, finishing 14th in PPR scoring among wideouts. He ranked tied for 11th in games with 10-plus PPR points, and he helped owners big time down the stretch by scoring 19-plus points in four of his final six games of the fantasy season. Hilton remains a high-end No. 2 wideout for 2019.

After a down-year in 2017 without his quarterback, Hilton torched opposing secondaries during the second half of the season en route to a final line of 76 catches for 1,270 yards and six touchdowns.

Despite dealing with a high and low ankle sprain on the same leg for the majority of the final eight games, the 29-year-old wide receiver showed no signs of decreased productivity.

Over the final seven games of the regular season, Hilton averaged 120.0 receiving yards per game, which included four performances of at least 125 receiving yards.

Hilton will return in 2019 as the top weapon for the Colts, which should make him a hot commodity come draft time as a high-end WR2.
