Colts’ T.Y. Hilton (quad) expected to play vs. Chiefs

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton is listed as questionable for the Sunday night matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium, but the expectation is he will play despite the quad injury.

Suffering the quad injury in Week 2 and then re-aggravating it in Week 3, Hilton was forced to miss the Week 4 game against the Oakland Raiders. The 29-year-old was able to log two limited practices this week, but it was still unclear if the Colts would hold him out with the bye week coming up.

However, it appears Hilton will give it a go Sunday night, first reported by Adam Schefter of ESPN and confirmed by Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

It was clear the type of impact Hilton has on the offense when he was out in Week 4. He’s still the best playmaker the unit has, and he will be giving quarterback Jacoby Brissett much help in what could be a shootout at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday night.

The Colts are already down wide receiver Devin Funchess and Parris Campbell for the game so having Hilton there—even less than 100%—is huge for the offense.
