Colts Suspend Two Players for Conduct Detrimental to Team

The Colts issued suspensions to two players on Tuesday which will see them miss the remainder of the regular season.

Cornerback Tony Brown and wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie were both hit with three-game suspensions due to conduct detrimental to the team, per an announcement from the team.

Indianapolis placed both players on the reserve/suspended list on Tuesday, though the team did not specify what conduct resulted in the season-ending bans.

McKenzie and Brown were both healthy scratches during the Colts’ Week 15 tilt against the Steelers.

McKenzie, 28, is in his first year in Indianapolis, having joined the organization after spending the previous five seasons with the Bills. He’s featured in 13 games this season, with Sunday’s absence being his first missed game of the year. He has 11 receptions for 82 yards on the campaign.

As for Brown, he’s started one game this season while appearing in 12. The 28-year-old defensive back has 10 tackles, one interception, and one forced fumble this season. Brown features regularly on special teams, where he’s been on the field for more than 70% of the team’s snaps.

The suspended players will be unavailable for the final three games of the season, meaning they'll miss matchups with the FalconsRaiders, and what could be a division-altering battle against the rival Texans in the regular-season finale.
