Colts’ snap counts vs. Broncos in Week 8

The Indianapolis Colts (5-2) just barely outlasted the Denver Broncos (2-6) on Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium, coming away with a 15-13 win.

Thanks to a late field goal from Adam Vinatieri, the Colts extended their winning streak to three games and currently sit in second in the AFC conference standings.

Here’s a look at the offensive snap counts from the Week 8 win:

It is clear that Zach Pascal is the WR2. This is the first time that role as seen a player play more than 90% of the snaps. Rookie Parris Campbell saw just eight snaps (12%) upon his return from an abdominal injury.

Not much is different from the offensive side of the ball. This unit is pretty well intact, but it will be interesting to see how the group works with the return of Devin Funchess in a few weeks.

Here’s a look at the defensive and special teams snap counts from Week 8:

Defensive tackle Grover Stewart saw an uptick in snaps and has taken over the starting role at the one-technique. Rookie linebacker Bobby Okereke also saw a new role working as the SAM linebacker. Rookie defensive end Ben Banogu worked as the DE3 behind Jabaal Shead and Justin Houston.

Cornerback Marvell Tell also saw a fair amount of snaps (51%) with Pierre Desir and Quincy Wilson inactive.
