Colts sign WR Marcus Johnson to the practice squad

The Indianapolis Colts signed wide receiver Marcus Johnson to the practice squad and released defensive tackle Brian Price from the practice squad, the team announced Tuesday.

Johnson is a familiar face with the Colts as he has been with the team since being traded for ahead of the 2018 season. He showed a lot of promise before suffering a season-ending injury during that season. He spent the 2019 offseason with the Colts but was waived-injured on Aug. 31.

In 2018, Johnson played in five games with the Colts. He caught six passes for 102 yards and a touchdown before being placed on the injured reserve.

With all of the struggles and injuries the Colts are dealing with in the wide receiver room, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Johnson make his way to the active roster.
