Colts sign TE Ian Bunting to the practice squad

The Indianapolis Colts signed tight end Ian Bunting to the practice squad, the team announced Tuesday.

Bunting (6-7, 255) initially signed with the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent following the 2019 NFL Draft. He was waived during final cuts in August and has spent some time with the New York Jets practice squad.

The Colts likely added Bunting to the practice squad following the news that the Washington Redskins signed tight end Hale Hentges—whom the Colts waived on Saturday and hoped to re-sign following the weekend.

Bunting joins a Colts tight end room currently comprised of Jack Doyle, Eric Ebron, Mo Alie-Cox and Billy Brown.
