Colts sign RB David Williams to the practice squad

The Indianapolis Colts signed running back David Williams to the practice squad and released running back Bruce Anderson from the practice squad, the team announced Wednesday.

Per the release from the team:

Williams, 6-1, 229 pounds, has played in six career games in his time with the Detroit Lions (2019), Jacksonville Jaguars (2018) and Denver Broncos (2018) and has compiled eight carries for 36 yards. He was originally selected by the Broncos in the seventh round (226th overall) of the 2018 NFL Draft.

Williams spent time on the Lions practice squad earlier this season. As a rookie in 2018, he appeared in six games with the Jaguars and tallied eight carries for 36 yards. Williams began the season on Denver’s practice squad before being signed to Jacksonville’s 53-man roster.

Anderson signed with the Colts practice squad on Sept. 11.
